Dr. Justin Peterson
Practice Owner

Dr. Justin Peterson grew up in Germantown Hills/Metamora, IL area. Dr. Peterson attended University of Illinois as an Undergraduate and graduated University of Illinois of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.  After graduation, he moved to Western Illinois and began his veterinary career at Bushnell Veterinary Service, which was a mixed (large and small) animal clinic.  In 2000, Dr. Peterson moved back to Central Illinois and worked at Limestone Companion Animal Hospital from 2000 to 2011.  In 2008, Dr. Peterson married his wife Kristine.  They have two sons and one daughter.  In 2011, Dr. Peterson joined Associated Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian, then in July of 2013, Dr. Peterson purchased Associated Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Peterson enjoys working outside, and spending his free time with his wife and children and their dog Daisy.




Dr. Lisa Ryan grew up on a farm near the Quad Cities. Her grandfather, a farmer since he was young, sparked an interest in caring for animals. He taught her a great deal about how to work with animals, which inspired her to become a veterinarian from the time she was 6 years old. She began working in veterinary clinics at the age of 18. Lisa attended Illinois State University as a pre-veterinary student. She reached her childhood ambition of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After graduation, she worked at Whitney Veterinary Clinic in Peoria until 2004. From that date forward, Dr. Ryan has been part of the team at Associated Veterinary Clinic.

Outside of work, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with her family, and their pets. She has two cats, a dog and several fish. She’s an active member in her church and also a member of the Washington Rotary.
